A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night is a 2014 Persian horror movie. This film is about a man named Arash who is one of the protagonists. He is a hardworking boy who looks after his father. The father, Hossein, is a heroine addict and is old in age. Both Arash and his father are being bothered and harassed by a drug dealer. The drug dealer, Saeed, gambles and steals from Arash’s family by taking his beloved car in exchange for Hossein owing him money that he is yet to pay back. His actions must have rubbed off onto Arash because Arash soon later steals precious earrings from this lady that he was working for. Later that same night, Hossein comes across a mysterious lady dressed in all black. He takes her to his place thinking that they will have sex. But, the mysterious lady grows fangs and sucks on Hossein’s neck; killing him. The mysterious lady’s name is never revealed but she is a vampire who kills men that mistreats or belittles women. Although, she comes across Arash, she sees vulnerability in him and he seems different than all the other men that she has come across. They become close throughout the movie, as the mysterious woman is starting to fall in love with Arash. We know this because she had multiple chances in killing him but she resists and does not. Meanwhile, the mysterious lady kills Arash’s father. Although, she does not know he is Arash’s father, she killed him for another reason. Hossein attempts to rape the prostitute by injecting her with heroin.
